I have a passion for capturing every moment of your day from candid moments to the posed family portraits . My goal for every Engagement Session & Wedding is to deliver beautiful, natural and timeless photos while providing with exceptional communication.

When I was married in 2006, my photographer was the worst! Hard to reach, took forever to get back to me and didn't even ask me about my theme, colours or style. Worst of all his quality did not match the portfolio I was shown. I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated.

I invest time and money into my continuous learning, whether it is through workshops & courses or working with mentors. On my downtime it is not unusual to find me scrolling through the latest wedding trends or checking out vintage sales for that prop I think would be perfect for a photo.

From our initial conversation to the final delivery of photos and prints, communication is at the forefront of my service. Whether it is a last minute thought you want to shoot to me in a text or the questionnaire I ask all couples to complete, I strongly feel that good communication is as important to the success of great photography as any equipment or skill.

My Style

HELLO!

I am Sheryl and if you had told me five years ago I would be a professional photographer, running my own business full-time and capturing creative, timeless and authentic weddings, well I very likely would have laughed in your face.

I have always been a creative person whether it was making handmade cards, painting or playing music and have been absolutely passionate about

photography since 2010. My organized and intuitive nature elevated

me to be successful in the logistics industry for over 15 years, but I was just not passionate about it. So what is a woman to do? Just three weeks before the Pandemic was declared I took my weekend photography business full time and am living my dream...there must already be a lifetime movie like this right?

When I am not working you can find me catching up with friends

(virtually or otherwise), going on adventures with my husband and son or

relaxing at home with my three cats (Midnight, Harmony & Gabe) and

my dog Dashy.

A musician, mental health advocate and equal rights ally, I have a relaxed open demeanour. My past clients typically say I am easy going, fun and willing to lend a hand where I can, thinking always outside the box whether it is helping to fix a broken clasp or climbing halfway into a tree for the perfect shot.

My motto? I truly believe that beauty is not in perfection but in all the flaws that make us human.
